Join us at Double Dane Games on Friday the 20th at 6pm for Pauper format followed by Standard at around 10:30pm. New and seasoned players welcome! It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or if you’ve been playing at home or at school with friends for years. If you’re ready for a little friendly competition and the chance to win some prizes, or would just like to hang out with other local MTG players, be sure and drop by for a good time.
This Friday features Paper Pauper format ($5) followed by Standard ($5). Hope to see you there!
A Standard deck consists of a minimum of sixty cards. Although there is no maximum deck size, a player must be able to shuffle his or her deck without assistance. Standard format provides for an optional sideboard of up to 15 fifteen cards. A player’s sideboard and deck combined may not contain more than four copies of any given card (land cards excepted).

Pauper (not to be confused with Peasant) is a format generally played online, but at DDG we like to do it in paper. Decks are constructed from all common cards and have a minimum size of 60 cards with a maximum 15 card sideboard. No more than four of any specific card (except basic lands) may be used.
